This is me and Lou in 1994 (!) at the GGHC gala opening/auction. Staff had to work, so that's why I'm dressed like a waiter. Of course, Lou looked dapper in his usual all black. The one thing that sticks in my mind from this night was that Dame Beverly Sills was in attendence. I'd had several drinks and got really excited calling out to 'Bubbles' (her nickname and title of her autobiography). Lou thought it was hilarious - that great laugh of his - and regaled me with his deep knowledge of all things opera. He was so funny and whip smart and a total smart ass. A great combination. An awful loss. I'll miss you Lou.
Jen, you two look so lovely together! I had never seen a photo of Lou in the 90s. He looks stunning. What a hunk! And your words, Jen, so beautiful and so true.
Renata! It is so good to read your posts and hear about your travels with Lou. I can only imagine what a hoot that must have been. He was an amazing creature. I hope you are well and leaning on the good memories to get you through...
